To Splurge or Not to Splurge on the Too Faced Brow Envy Kit, That’s the Question!

When it comes to makeup kits, many people complain that there’s lots of filler content in it and not enough actual product.
Looks like Too Faced has been listening to the market chatter about kits because their Envy eyebrow kit is one which checks all the right marks. If you haven’t made up your mind about the kit yet, I’d recommend heading over to the product reviews.
I took a closer look at the Envy Eyebrow kit there.
Now, while Too Faced does offer amazing products, many people might find the $39 price tag that comes with it to be a bit too steep. Priced in this range, you could be tempted to go to another brow product and I do understand why.
The ABH Dip Brow Pomade is priced at $18 whereas Kat Von D’s Super Brow Pomade is priced at $19. So, why should you splurge for this product?
To answer this question, I’d like to point out the following reasons why I believe that the Too Faced Envy eyebrow kit is worth the cost.
It’s a Great Learning Tool
We all have to start out somewhere and the Envy eyebrow kit might not be appealing to the seasoned pro but it is a great learning tool. It comes with a pamphlet regarding how to use the kit and you also find stencils that you can use until you develop your own style.
This is a great advantage for people who want fine eyebrows but haven’t yet mastered all the killer eyebrow techniques yet. With the Too Faced Envy eyebrow kit, you get three different stencils, namely:
• Soo Sweet
• Too Pretty
• Super Sexy

All three show different eyebrow styles that you can pick and choose from. I’d definitely say that this is a great kit to get when you’re just learning about the eyebrow styling process.
You’re Using the Whole Kit
Another thing that I really liked about the Envy kit was that you’re using everything in it. There’s no filler product, no wastage and no extra product that you have no use for. The kit has a no-nonsense attitude about this and you’ll find it has the following different products:
• Highlighter
• Setting Wax
• Blonde Powder
• Brunette Powder
Plus, it comes with a small tweezer, a spoolie brush and an angled, applicator brush. All you need is right here in this small, useful eyebrow kit. The kit is travel-friendly, with the small size making it a perfect addition to your overnight makeup bag.
A Small Fault
While I love the Envy eyebrow kit and see the plus points, one major issue is that it is only meant for use by blondes and brunettes. Its color tones are too ashy for redheads so they’re not going to benefit from using this kit.
It’s a bit saddening to see this but hopefully, Too Faced might launch an eyebrow kit soon which is more inclusive in terms of the color selection.

Product Review – Too Faced Brow Envy Kit

If you’re looking for a product that lets your brows look their absolute best, it’s a good idea to get your hands on Too Faced Brow Envy Kit. Their peach and chocolate scented eyebrow palettes were a huge success but in the eyebrow department, I always found this brand to be a bit lacking.

Well, it looks like they’re here to prove me wrong because they’ve got a few products in the brow range now. The Too Faced Brow Envy Kit was introduced in 2014 and has earned a place in the market as the perfect, all-in-one brow kit. It has a tweezer, spoolie brush, applicator brush and stencils for your brows. Additionally, it also comes with an eyebrow grooming pamphlet, has a mirror and the compact size of the brow kit makes it travel-friendly.

Now, I am a bit skeptical here because I’m usually not a fan of makeup kits. I’m biased about it as I tend to find that these brow kits only have one or two useful features while other products are just fillers. Luckily, Too Faced’s Brow Envy Kit is here to change my mind. So, let’s take a closer look at what this brow kit has to offer with this review.

Perfect for Blondes and Brunettes

I like the packaging of the Envy kit because it makes the product look high end and it somehow manages to retain the cutesy aura that all Too Faced products embody. Once you open the brow kit, it has the following products in it:

  • • Highlighter
  • • Setting Wax
  • • Blonde Powder
  • • Brunette Powder

And that’s it. I’m knocking a point off from the Envy brow kit because it is meant only for blondes and brunettes. Whatever happened to the redheads?

The one plus point here is that the blonde and brunette powders are buildable, soft and blend well, allowing you more control and flexibility in picking the right hue for your brows.

Tools for Shaping

The Envy brow kit also contains simple tools for shaping such as a tweezer, a spoolie brush and an applicator brush. Since the kit is meant to be travel-friendly, these tools are small in size, which only makes them more likely to be misplaced or lost. However, I do appreciate that these would be perfect to use on the go.

Stencils for Beginners

If you’re a beginner, this brow kit is definitely the perfect choice for you as it comes with three different eyebrow stencils, namely:

  • • Soo Sweet
  • • Too Pretty
  • • Super Sexy

Coupled with the simple to use shades, the tools and the small pamphlet that comes with it, this is a brow kit that’s perfect for beginners to learn how to shape their brows on.

I Don’t Feel Very Envious

To be honest, I found the product to be a bit underwhelming but it did defy my expectations. Every part of the kit is usable and adds. While it’s perfect for beginners, it doesn’t seem like an essential must have for seasoned brow professionals. However, if I’m ever traveling and in a makeup bind, I think I wouldn’t mind having this brow kit with me.
