Organic Ways to Get Thicker, Fuller Brows
It is funny to see that nowadays, thicker brows are all the rage. Gone are the days of the 90s and early 2000s when eyebrows were made as thin as possible. Unfortunately, for those of us who were emulating this trend, the years of plucking and thinning our eyebrows can do some lasting damage.
Re-growing them can be a challenge and it is very common to face patchiness. In some cases though, the eyebrows refuse to grow back without some extra tender, loving care – TLC. Today, I’m going to share some of my best organic tips to get thicker and fuller brows.
So, let’s put down the brow pencil and brow stain and focus on the following:
1. Coconut Oil
I recommend coconut oil because everyone has a bottle or jar in their home and a little goes a long way here! It’s a multi-purpose ingredient because it’s great as a moisturizer and a conditioner. It’s packed with lauric acid, vitamin E and iron which help to promote the growth of hair and make it thicker.
Use a cotton swab dipped in coconut oil and use it on your brows. Leave the oil overnight and then rinse off in the morning. You can use this every day or twice in a week to get thicker brows. You can even use castor oil but it’s a thick oil and can tend to clog hair follicles and pores.
2. Onion Juice
Not everyone opts for onion juice but this is my favorite because it is rich in sulfur, minerals, vitamins B, C, and selenium. All these nutrients are necessary for good hair growth and they boost collagen production in the skin. Plus, you can make your own juice anytime at home!
All you have to do is chop an onion and blend it until you get a paste. Now, strain this paste with cheesecloth to get the juice out. Use a cotton Q-tip to apply it on your brows. Leave it on for at least an hour. To help get rid of the smell, use a cotton swab dipped in lemon juice (diluted) to wipe the onion juice off.
3. Fenugreek Seed Paste
If you’re dealing with patchiness and want fuller brows, fenugreek seed might be your best friend. It contains lecithin, proteins and nicotinic acid that rebuilds damaged hair follicles and stimulates new hair growth. These can be used twice a week for the most effective results.
Let the fenugreek seeds soak overnight in water. Now, grind the seeds until you get a very fine paste. Apply this to your brows and leave it one for at least 30 to 45 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and massage the brow area too.
4. Aloe Vera Gel
If you want a quick fix solution, aloe vera gel is going to be the perfect ingredient for you. It absorbs quickly so you can reapply it as many times as you want throughout the day. Aloe vera gel stimulates the growth of new hair follicles, nourishes existing hair and moisturizes the skin of the brow. Massaging it into your brows will give you visible results in a week or so.
